INJURED ROOFER SETTLES FOR 1.15 MILLION DOLLARS

The subcontractor roofing company that employed our client and the general contractor both failed to provide any safety training or safety equipment to our client before ordering him to work on a wet shake roof despite the fact he had no roofing experience.  Our client slipped and fell off the 2-story roof onto concrete.  He suffered a serious brain injury that required surgery as well as other internal injuries.  After litigation and a settlement conference, this construction accident case settled with both defendants for a total of 1.15 million dollars.

*This case would now be a workers’ compensation case due to changes in the law since this case.
